Members of my meeting keep supporting me in any way I may need: discernment, plunging, self-publishing with printing funds. So, really, I have nothing to complain about and everything to celebrate.

I am humbled, blessed and buoyed by you, dear F/friend.

Fondly,
-- CathyCathy Barneyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17371655581401528831noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4502117548618350329.post-31227300166563266382010-10-22T14:56:44.002-07:002010-10-22T14:56:44.002-07:00Of COURSE you wanted the editor to say she loves y...Of COURSE you wanted the editor to say she loves your book just as it is and wants to publish it to rave reviews right away! Isn't that the fantasy of all writers? From what I'm told, except for a very few (probably can count them on one hand) writers, that's exactly what your secret hope is - a fantasy.

Instead, you received feedback that warrants a celebration! It sounds like high praise that you just might someday take to the bank.

It's also no surprise that you're sick of this project and ready to be finished with it. You've poured your heart and soul into it for a long time. So take a break. Relish the positive reaction from the editor; write or paint or think about something else for a little while. When you're ready, ask the editor for specifics about what she thinks would strengthen your manuscript.

Then, get back to work, for your words and images are powerful, healing, and supportive. They minister to you and others, and they need to be out in the world.

Remember, you're not alone on this journey.

Congratulations!Irishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06226091959080769559noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4502117548618350329.post-8031997253447479882010-10-20T04:51:44.070-07:002010-10-20T04:51:44.070-07:00Cathy,
